  • Christian Persson

    Christian Persson

    Authorised instructor and examiner

I am an authorised instructor and examiner in rock climbing according to the Swedish Climbing Federation and UIAA. My entire career (35 years) has been spent working with activities, leadership, group development, and outdoor safety. These days I want to be on the rock, teaching courses, developing others in the vertical sport, and doing plenty of climbing myself. My background includes an MSc in Outdoor Education, experience as a university lecturer at Linnaeus University, and the creation of multiple educational programmes at university and upper secondary level.

  • Nils Lockean

    Assistant rock climbing instructor

Nils is a lead climbing instructor indoors and an assistant rock climbing instructor. He is well on his way to becoming an authorised rock climbing instructor and has completed the accredited courses required by the Swedish Climbing Federation, climbed in high mountains, gained experience at several companies in the industry, and undergone examination in his own skills. Nils has built up solid practical experience to develop his knowledge and deepen his understanding of leadership and experiences among the rocks.

The Swedish Climbing Federation's badge for authorised rock climbing instructors

Authorised instructor

Being a rock climbing instructor means the instructor has completed several years of training, has been examined by the Swedish Climbing Federation, and keeps their licence current through continuous education. 'Rock Climbing Instructor' is an international standard under the UIAA (the international organisation for climbing and mountaineering, "Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme") that assures the quality of instructors' experience and competence.
