Learn everything you need to climb independently on bolted routes outdoors.

After the course, you can lead sport climbs together with climbers at your own level, handle re-threading at the anchor, and belay a leader in a controlled manner. You also learn how to descend from the cliff using common rappelling methods and how to rig top-rope anchors on fixed gear such as bolts and trees.

Duration: 2 days.

Prerequisites

You must have a green card, have top-roped for at least a month, and be able to climb grade 5 without major issues before the sport climbing course. You will get much more out of the course if you already have a red card and are used to lead climbing indoors.

The Swedish Climbing Federation's badge for authorised rock climbing instructors

Always use an authorised instructor

Being a rock climbing instructor means the instructor has completed several years of training, has been examined by the Swedish Climbing Federation, and keeps their licence current through continuous education. 'Rock Climbing Instructor' is an international standard under the UIAA (the international organisation for climbing and mountaineering, "Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme") that assures the quality of instructors' experience and competence.
