Booking terms
Terms for booking, payment, cancellation and participation in courses and activities with Sydsveriges Guidebyrå.
Booking and confirmation
A booking is binding once the payment has been received by Sydsveriges Guidebyrå and we have sent a written confirmation by email. By booking you confirm that you have read and accept these terms and that you meet any prerequisite requirements for the course in question.
The person registering multiple participants is responsible for payment for all of them.
Payment
Prices are quoted via offer, on the website or at the time of booking. Payment is made online, by invoice or in cash and must be received by Sydsveriges Guidebyrå according to the agreed terms. Late payment may incur reminder fees and late interest.
Cancelled or changed activities
Sydsveriges Guidebyrå reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or adapt activities due to weather conditions, illness or other circumstances affecting safety.
If an activity is cancelled, a new date or full refund is offered. If an activity is rescheduled, a place on the new date or a refund is offered if participation is not possible.
Sydsveriges Guidebyrå does not compensate any costs beyond the course fee, such as travel, accommodation or other indirect expenses.
Cancellation
Cancellation must be made in writing by email.
More than 14 days before the course starts: full refund
7–14 days before the course starts: 50% of the course fee is refunded
Less than 7 days before the course starts: no refund
In case of illness, rebooking or refund can be made upon presentation of a medical certificate. In case of non-attendance without cancellation, the full cost will be charged.
Interrupted participation
If the participant voluntarily interrupts their participation after the course has started, the course fee will not be refunded. If the instructor, for safety reasons, determines that the participant cannot continue, a new course date will be offered subject to availability.
Participant's responsibility
The participant is responsible for being in such physical and mental condition that participation can take place safely. The instructor's instructions and safety procedures must be followed.
In the event of behaviour that endangers safety, the instructor has the right to terminate the participant's involvement without the right to a refund.
Equipment
All necessary equipment is provided unless otherwise stated. Personal equipment may be used if it is in good condition and approved for climbing. The instructor has the right to refuse equipment deemed unsafe.
Damage to Sydsveriges Guidebyrå's equipment is not covered by the participant unless the damage was caused by gross negligence. Sydsveriges Guidebyrå determines what constitutes gross negligence.
Insurance and liability
Sydsveriges Guidebyrå has liability insurance for its operations. The participant is responsible for having valid accident insurance. Membership in a climbing club provides insurance through the Swedish Climbing Federation (Folksam K61940, cat 1).
Sydsveriges Guidebyrå is not responsible for participants' clothing or valuables.
Minors
Minors may only participate accompanied by a guardian unless otherwise stated. The guardian is fully responsible for the minor. The minimum age for all activities is 13 years, unless otherwise stated.
Personal data
Personal data is processed only for administration, communication and execution of the course or activity. Data is not shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law. Read more about how personal data is processed in the privacy policy.
Force majeure
Sydsveriges Guidebyrå is not liable for cancelled or interrupted activities due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, such as extreme weather, government decisions or other unforeseen events.

Always use an authorised instructor
Being a rock climbing instructor means the instructor has completed several years of training, has been examined by the Swedish Climbing Federation, and keeps their licence current through continuous education. 'Rock Climbing Instructor' is an international standard under the UIAA (the international organisation for climbing and mountaineering, "Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme") that assures the quality of instructors' experience and competence.
